We went along to one of the University of Otago IT talks today, with a representative from the HitLab in Christchurch. The stuff that was presented is all in the augmented reality arena, with some neat concepts for creating fun learning experiences for students and children.

In my view it has a long way to go before it will really present a compelling proposition for the average consumer, but the concepts are in place and a continued refinement of the technology could see some really neat stuff being produced.

Was great to be back on campus, I don't hang out there very much these days!
